Lube Technician Job Description
Lube Technicians examine vehicles and discuss with the customer and service advisor or service manager the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to develop a service plan.
Job Duties:
· Plan work procedure using charts, technical manuals, diagnostic equipment and experience.
· Perform multi-point Inspection, change oil & filter. Double check for leaks, clean spilled oil, install lube sticker and reset oil reminder.
· Rotate tires, replace wiper blades, replace air filters and cabin filters, ac clean as needed.
· Road tests vehicles as needed before and /or after repair.
· Properly rack vehicles for service.
· Properly uses all personal protective equipment.
· Work Cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
· Report any violation of the sexual harassment/non-discrimination policies to management.
· Treating all members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manor, and maintaining a professional demeanor while on the job.
· Maintain professional appearance as appropriate to carry out job duties.
· Follow all safety protocols and report any violations or concerns to management quickly and efficiently.
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
· Stand/Walk/Sit up to 100% of the work day.
· Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crouch/Twist/Reach frequently.
· Use of hands to Rotate/Grasp/Grip frequently.
· Lifting: Up to 50lbs occasionally.
· Carrying: Up to 20lbs frequently.
Work Environment:
· Occasional exposure to Fumes, Gases and odors.
· Noise and vibration caused my electrical air tools, machinery and various repair and diagnostic equipment, and automobile engines.
· Numerous chemical products are used on a frequent basis. For protection this role will attend training in company’s hazard communication program, utilize chemical list, utilize required safety data sheet (MSDS) file and utilize required PPE at all times.
